The short version
These terms apply to the Ballpark Command website at ballparkcommand.com and the Ballpark Command phone app (together, the "service"). "We" means Ballpark Command. By using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
You must be at least 18 to create a director account or to sign in as a coach or scorekeeper. Anyone may view listed tournaments. The service is not directed to children under 13.
A game is marked final when both teams report the same score, or when the tournament director sets it. The tournament director has the final say on results, standings, tiebreakers, seeding and schedules. Ballpark Command displays what has been entered and does not decide or guarantee any result.
Schedules, field assignments, live field status and notifications are provided for convenience and can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Always confirm game times and locations with your tournament director. Don't rely on a notification as your only source for when or where a game will be played.

You keep ownership of the tournament information you enter. You give us permission to store it and display it as needed to run the service, including publicly when a director lists a tournament. Directors can export their tournament data at any time.
The Ballpark Command name, software and design belong to us. These terms don't give you any right to them beyond using the service as intended.
Ballpark Command does not currently charge fees or process payments. If that changes, we will tell you before any charge applies, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Ballpark Command is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by GameChanger, SportsEngine, Tourney Machine, Apple or Google. Their names belong to their owners. Where a director links a GameChanger team, scores are read from that team's public GameChanger scorebook and may be used to start a game, show its live score, and record its final. A director can correct any score, and a score both teams agree on replaces it.
The service is in early access. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times, including during an event. Directors should keep their own record of schedules and results; the service lets you export and back up your tournament for that purpose.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Ballpark Command will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or disputes about game results, standings or schedules, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $50.
You can stop using the service at any time, and a director can ask us to delete their account and tournaments (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or its users at risk.
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, post a notice on the website. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.
